Dearest La Luna – Family,

When I opened La Luna six years ago I had the dream to create a place which reflects my home – Belize. I thought I could share the place that means so much to me with you my guests and friends. I thought I could but the last six years have shown that I did not create a home for myself to share. No, all of you gave me the feeling of coming home every evening you have been in La Luna and I really want to thank you for this from the bottom of my heart.

In the end of this summer I had the opportunity to expand this little home. I opened the Havanna Cocktailbar downtown. I had to make my decision very fast and to be honest I had no idea how to be present at both places at the same time and I am sure you can imagine that the new business needed all of my attention.

I couldn’t be in La Luna so often anymore. I had to rely on Angie, my dear friend and I want to tell you how grateful I am that she is there all the time – keeping my little home alive and making sure that the door is open for you. – Thank you so much, Angie!!!

The start of Havanna was more than difficult. The renovation, advertisement, menu cards, shopping, etc. etc. took a lot of time and I feel very sad that I was not able to invite all of you personally for the opening party but I am sure after this long time we spent together you know that I would love to have you around me and that everyone of you is more than just a guest to me.

The last months brought a lot of changes and some new faces in the service of both bars.

The New Year will start in a few weeks and of course there are also new thoughts and plans whether or not to keep La Luna and or to make Havanna part of the family. For making this dream come true I need the support from all of you. Please keep the faith in La Luna! I promise you I will find a way to be with you more often again.
